Dresdens with the American Style!!!!!
Hi there!
Today I got my digital camera from the electric shop where I bought it. I took some my newest Dresden plates’s pictures immidiataly!
I’m happy that I can show my newest artwork here again!!
I painted them with open medium and named the techniques Dresden with the American style because I usually paint Dresdens with fat oil.
I used some San Do’s painting medium and mixing medium, but I’m happy they seem to be as pretty as painting with some fat oil.

I used my Dresden teacher, Alfredo Tradano’s Dresden patterns, but I I painted them with some Japanese colors for Dresden, some Japanese and British blushes that I’ve been used to, some San Do’s mixing and painting medium. I designed them by myself. I think for Dresden beginners, using some open medium is much easier to handle. I like this techniques.

Oh, Yumi, those are very good. I used to do with open medium when I paint Dresden Style, but I didn’t get such a bright color like this.
I always feel your paints are very aculate and crispy. I love it!!

I think it relates to how much push the blushes and put colors on them. When I paint, I always put a lot of colors on my blushes and push them very hard. That’s why my work seems to be more clear and sharper.

Are you interested in my Dresden colors? Compared to American Dresden colors, the Japanese colors are much more intense. If you want some of them, I can order them for you and will bring them to Michigan. Let me know if you want.

They are all lovely!!! A favorite would be hard to pick – each has a different aspect I like. I wish I had ordered all of the colors you use in the Dresden. If it is not too late for you to order them, get me one of each. See you very soon!

You take plate 1 and 2. Plate 3 is for your neighbor who gave me the KPM plate.

Thank you for the compliment. I’m also lucky because all my American students are very diligent and love learning new things. I think this project is good for them to start painting with the Dresden style. After they understand how to paint Dresden, I want to teach them how to paint Dresden with some fat oil.

SO pretty, thanks for sharing! I love the baby plate for the simple fact of it’s sentiments. I just started painting plates for crafting gifts but am finding the paint layers to not lay smoothly. I am using Martha Stewart pain which is listed food safe since I want the items to be able to be used. Any tips?

Thanks for asking. I didn’t use any specific techniques. There was the color blue on the plate, and I painted the roses with some white paints. That’s all. It’s very easy. Try it!!!
