My Dresden Plates #7, 8

Hello, friends. How is the weather where you live? We have had a lot of snow since yesterday. Since I wanted to update my newest project, miniatures, I can’t take any pictures because of the weather. In addition to that, I’m worried about my digital camera. Although I’ve been charging it for a long time, it become out of batteries very quickly. It’s really something strange! I might have to buy a new one for my art blog.

For some reasons, I’d like to update my Dresden plate again. I’m sorry.

It is a bit difficult for me to paint yellow roses with a Dresden style. I gave the blue plate to my Japanese friend who is also a china painter.

I’d like to add that my Dresden plates are one fire. That’s why you can see very bright colors on my plate. I’m planning to take other techniques in a Dresden style. After that, I’d like to paint with the techniques and show my plates here again!

  1. Great job on both plates. How can you get any better???????

    • Emilie! Thanks as always for such a lovely comment! Nah, of course, I have many rooms to have to improve!!!! Although I wanted to show you my miniatures, because of the bad weather and my digital camara’s bad condition, I can’t take any pictures. I think talking on Facetime and show you my miniatures is much easier. I will send you my e-mail later! Talk to you then!

  2. So beautiful,Yumi! I love it. Most of my paints are American style, I have very little skill of dresden style. So I’d like to learn how to paint dresden style in the future.

    • Thanks for the comment, Akiko-san! I’m happy that you also like my Dresden plates! I’m sure after you move to Germany, you can take a bunch of Dresden classes there! I’m really jealous of you!! I’m really looking forward to seeing your fabulous Dresden plates! On the other hand, I’m lack of skills for an American style painting. I especially am poor at painting roses with the style. 😦

  3. When I live the weather is not cold if we think we have in winter. Here we haven´t snow.
    I love the plates.

  4. I loved them. ^^
    I like the style 🙂
I’m looking forward to see your next painting!!!

  5. They are both so beautiful, I loved them. The colours and the flowers are nicely done, you are doing great job. Thank you, with my love, nia

    • Hi, nia. Thanks as always for the nice comment on my blog entry! Actually, painting yellow roses with the European style is a bit difficult for me. However, when I looked at the plates after firing, I also thought they seemed to be very pretty. I’m really happy because many people said that they seemed to be beautiful on their comments!

    • Hi, Christine. Long time no see! I’m very sorry that my replay was so late because I studied abroad in America again and I returned to Japan the day before yesterday. Thanks for the comment! Thank you so much as always for taking a look at my blog!!
