A Birthday Plate

Hello, friends. How have you been spending your holidays? I’m in my husband’s parents house with my family right now. In Japan New Year is more important than Christmas.  We enjoy family bonding both in Obon season and this season.  After I spend a couple of days with his parents, I will stop by my parents’ house. We will go back to our area where we live with my parents. They will stay at our house for a few days.

This is my last post for this year.  I painted it for my cousin’s baby daughter. He got a first baby this October. So, I painted it for him and his daughter as her birthday plate. I hope they love it. I really appreciate that many people visited my blog. I received many comments from all over the world.  After I started this blog, I’ve been able to keep on motivating for painting. It’s really good for me. Please keep on an eye on my blog next year too!

Happy New Year, everyone! I really hope new year will be better than this year for everybody!

-Yumi

      Happy New Year, Monique!

    • Hi, nia. A couple of days ago, I talked to my cousin for the first time in almost thirty years. We and I were like siblings when we were kids.
We enjoyed talking and started to communicate again! His wife also loved the plate. I’m so happy!!!! If my work makes people feel happy, it is the best thing for me!
