Ciao! Come stai? Sono molto bene. Sono felice.

Hello there! How have you been so far? I am great and am enjoying learning Italian! I started adding some Italian phrases that I have memorized on my blog, heehe.

Today I want to show my Christmas plate that I finished last night. This is an order from a client. I am happy that I could keep a deadline. She wants to show off this plate in her husband’s hospital. ( Her hubby is a dentist.) I hope she and her hubby will like it.

How are you spending this Christmas? My family and I probably will go to a fancy restaurant to eat dinner as we always do. I am knitting a sweater for my hubby, but I don’t think I can give it to him on Christmas, lol. I still have to work a lot. I am ready  to give my hand knitted scarf to my mom. She will like it,  I hope. For my dad, my daughter and my in-laws, I still don’t have any gifts yet.

It’s my first time to paint something for Christmas in a couple of years. It was fun, and I want to do this next year as well.

Now, I started designing a bird painting again to practice. You will see it probably next year!

I hope everybody will have a wonderful time on Christmas!!

See you soon around here again!

Hello there!

How have you been? I am very sorry that I couldn’t update my art blog at all. I went back to my painting school, and I am busy for doing my assignment. I am in a mid course of advanced and have to paint a lot to finish the course.

I am glad that today I can post something! I painted this place more than four years ago at my painting school. I  painted this Christmas place with one fire techniques.  Do you plan on painting something Christmas this year? Do you have some ideas for painting? I hope I can paint something Christmas this year and can update it here. I will try my best.

My teacher in Tokyo gave me two objects, the burn and poinsettias. I combined two of them and designed the plate. My teacher loved it, and I got a big compliment from her. She wanted to keep the plate to show it to other students and recently she returned it to me. She had showed it to others for more than four years. I am so honored, lol.

Tomorrow, I will update my other blog that I have been introducing Japanese culture.  So, stay turned!

Merry Chirstmas!

Merry Christmas, my dear friends!

I’m very sorry that I hadn’t updated my blog posts for a long time. Two months ago, I returned to Japan from my last studying abroad in America this year. I felt like burned out for a while and became lazy gradually.  I apologize it to you all. I started blogging again, and I will show you what I learned in America and what I did there one by one.

In Japan today is a Christmas eve and tomorrow is a Christmas day. Did you receive some gifts from Santa?

In my case, I received a wonderful gift from Santa this summer!

This summer, our friend, Zach from America stayed at our house for two months. One day he found a kitten, and our daughter named him Jiji. He was only 6 weeks old.

He is a very playful kitten and he turns 8 month old. He turned out a very handsome tubby cat. I’m enjoying being a mom again for him.

I painted his teeth box, and this is one of my newest artwork. I hope you like it.

I love porcelain painting because we can paint any kinds of shaped thing like this teeth box. I think painting only on round dishes or square tiles are quite boring. I love designing for the different shaped porcelain and painting on them. I really think it’s one of fun things for porcelain painters.

When I found Jiji’s baby teeth, I thought painting a box to keep his baby teeth was a wonderful idea. I got the white box from one of my American moms in Michigan, Kay. Thank you so much for the box, Kay!

Posted in American Syle, Christmas, Christmas Ornaments, competition, European Style, flower painting, Miniatures, Nyon Rose with tags , , , , , , , , , on October 20, 2012 by yumi

Hi there!
How have you been? I’ve still been busy painting painting and painting, lol, but it’s my hobby, job and everything in my life!

Today I’d like to show my Christmas ornaments here. It’s one of entries for the Facebook competition, “Go for Gold”.

Since I could entry up to three, I painted three pieces for it. I didn’t win the contest, and my Thai friend won! I’m so happy for him! Congratulations, Bond!!!!

My Christmas ornaments

I painted some National flags on some ornaments to show my theme, “Go for Gold”. If I couldn’t design some National flags on them, in that case instead of the flags, I wrote “Merry Christmas” in various languages. If I still couldn’t do that, I decorated the ornaments with National colors for some countries. My ornaments are very international. I painted some Nyon roses from Switzerland, Dresden flowers from Germany and mixed up the American style and European Style. I hope you love my ideas and the ornaments. Which one is the best ornaments for you?

I added some Merry Christmas in Korean, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese.

A Rocking House from England

The ornament has some London scenery and a flag mixed of Japan and Korea. As I told you that Korea and Japan’s relationships are not good now. So, I wish they would be better and tried to create a new flag for us!

I painted the ornament from an antique card and I bought it in America with Gay. When I painted it, I really missed her because for a while I haven’t met her. I even haven’t called her for a while because I’ve been very busy painting.

The train is made by sweets, chocolates, cookies, candies and strawberry rolled cake. You can see an American-ish flag too.

I couldn’t paint ornaments for all countries, but I tried to write Merry Christmas in other languages as many as possible I can.  I know this idea is crazy, but I love the idea for Go for Gold because all of the world cerebrates Christmas like Olympic games. I saw some sad scenes of athletes  and crowd members fighting over diplomatic issues during the Olympic games. I really hope for Christmas this year this world get together and celebrate our peace.  I wish next year would be better for all of us.

My Bird Painting #4, 5

Posted in birds, Christmas, European Style with tags , , , on February 14, 2012 by yumi

Hi, there! It’s still been cold days in my area where I live. We still have had a lot of snow here. I really look forward to spring! Spring here is amazing! I’d love to show our cherry blossoms on my other blog!

Today, I’d love to show my bird painting.

I painted the tree one for Christmas. Although I wanted to show it on Christmas Day on my blog, I lost the chance. The tree plate isn’t a miniature, but it’s still very small.

I painted this plate for my American friend. I will meet her in person in Tybee! For a long time she has been my conversational partner (We have been exchanging languages. ) Since I haven’t showed her bird painting yet, she will see this first time. I hope she loves it!
